Purpose of the role
The College painter and decorator will be responsible for undertaking interior and exterior painting and decorating, including surface repairs and preparation as required.

Salary
£27,929.00 p.a. depending on skills and experience.
The College has paid the Oxford Living Wage (OLW) since 2022; this rate of pay is linked to the Living Wage Foundation’s Real Living Wage and ensures that wages do not fall below a level of liveable earnings. Increases in the OLW are not determined by the College. Staff paid marginally above the OLW may therefore find, over time, that their rate of pay is matched or overtaken by the OLW. From that point onwards they will be paid the OLW.
Hours of Work
37.5 hours per week.
Contract/Duration
This is a full-time permanent position.

Meals
You are entitled to have a meal free of charge whilst on duty when the kitchen is open.
Probationary and Notice Periods
The post is subject to a six-month probationary period. The appointment may be terminated by either side giving one week’s written notice during the first six months, and one month thereafter.
Sickness Benefit
The following Occupational Sick Pay is provided:
1 week full pay during probation
8 weeks full pay during the balance of the first year
2-3 years’ service – 12 weeks full pay plus 12 weeks half pay
4-5 years’ service – 20 weeks full pay plus 20 weeks half pay
5+ years’ service – 26 weeks full pay plus 26 weeks half pay
