Purpose of the role
The Kitchen Assistant, reporting to the Head Chef, is responsible for assisting the entire kitchen team in their duties. This will include any reasonable task at the request of the Head Chef, Catering Manager, Butler or senior chefs, especially food preparation, serving food, maintaining and setting up the servery and kitchen area, ensuring that a high standard of hygiene is maintained at all times.

This is a permanent, part-time, post of 30 hours per week.

£16,380 (£10.50 per hour)

30 hours per week (over 4 days)
Probationary Period
The post is subject to a six month probationary period. During this time the appointment may be terminated by either side giving one month’s written notice. Thereafter period of notice will be three months on either side, given in writing.
